So, we are taking a bit of a step back from calling this a daily bet segment as we aim to help people be better bettors, it is impossible to maintain an edge daily. With that said, we have two jumps today that rate very well for us.
NBA Minnesota Timberwolves v Oklahoma City Thunder
In this contest we are looking at the spread total – the Timberwolves are currently favored on the line at -3.0 with the sharp money following that line. There are off the field concerns for Thunder star Josh Giddey and nobody knows the impact this will have on the team – but it will have some impact.
The Timberwolves are playing great right now, but, Chet Holmgren continues to look like “THE” dude for the Thunder this season on his injury return and should be a shoe-in for a comeback player of the year award. However, he has a true test here against one of the best teams in the NBA right now. Thunder struggle when they are against physical teams and the physicality of the Timberwolves and the slower tempo will take the Thunder out of their comfort zone.
Looking at the Timberwolves, they are capable of trading shots with the Thunder and are right now the overall better roster on defense and offense. The Thunder can compete with anyone but this is just a spot play on the Timberwolves.

NHL Dallas Stars v Winnipeg Jets
The Stars are far superior defensively, better at penalty killing, better at powerplay blocking, better in the net and are more efficient on the other side of the ice as an added bonus.
The Jets are not a bad team, but, they have struggled this season against teams that have a fast paced attack and who thrive in playing in transition. Depth favors the Stars as well as health.
